21-01-2014: 28 Shia Hazaras Martyred and more than 40 Injured in another attack on Zaereen Bus in Mastung:

At least 28 Shia Hazaras were martyred and more than 40 were injured when a suicide blast occurred near the Dareen Garh area of Mastung, Balochistan on Tuesday evening.

The suicidal attack was made on one of the two buses full of 103 pilgrims who were traveling back from Iran where they had gone on pilgrimage of sacred shrines of Shuhadah Karbala and other Masomeen a.s. in Iraq and Iran. 

“The buses were stopped from proceeding and two FC personnel got off and went near to search the car. As they got closer to the car, a huge explosion took place killing both on the spot,” Assistant Commissioner Mastung Shafqat Anwar said. Severe firing took place following the blast which resulted in security officials cordoning off the area.

“We have declared state of emergency at CMH, Provincial Sandeman Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex Teaching Hospital (BMC),” DIG police Quetta Mohammed Jaffar said.

The martyrs and injured include security officials, women and children.

This is the second bomb blast on the same route killing more than 50 Shia Muslims so far. It was on 1st of January this year that the terrorists attacked on another Bus of Pilgrims returning from the same places. 

 

01-01-2014: A blast near a Shia pilgrims bus leaving three martyred and 30 injured:

This Wednesday evening, a bus carrying Shia Pilgrims was returning from Iraq and Iran when a bomb near a the bus blasted due to which two pilgrims were martyred and around 30 injured, including women and children.

According to the reports, the target of the terrorist act was a bus full of Shia pilgrims coming from Iraq and Iran. The blast struck the bus at Akhtarabad bypass on Qamberani Road in the provincial capital of Baluchistan. Later the gunshots were also fired after blast. The bus caught fire after the explosion. The rescue services and law enforcement agencies had arrived on the spot.

Most of the pilgrims were resident of Dera Ismail Khan and Bhakkar. The Shia Muslims of Pakistan usually go to Iraq and Iran to visit the holy shrines of the decedents of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w. including Imam Hussain a.s and Imam Ali a.s. in Iraq and Imam Raza a.s in Iran, via this route.
